Purchasing

Self cleaning glass works in two stages, the first stage is a process which involves the coating of the glass reacting with sunlight to break down organic dirt known as the “photocatalytic stage”, the second phase involves rainwater hitting the glass and instead of forming droplets runs off in a “sheet” and takes the loosened dirt with it known as the “hydrophilic stage”, this process also dry’s very quickly to leave minimal streaking.

The glass should be installed at a minimum of 10 degrees, it is recommended that the optimum pitch for the glass is 30 degrees to get the full benefit of the self cleaning process so these factors should be considered when deciding if this glass can be used on your project.
